BoltBot

BoltBot is a personal project that acts as a first attempt at modelling and printing a 3D character. In early 2017 fidget toys became popular, what if a fidget toy could be just that, a toy that you fidget with. BoltBot uses a tactile, knurled surface and turning motion to facilitate fidgeting. Drawing inspiration from various turret and robot designs, BoltBot is a quirky desk-toy that doubles as something to fidget with. In the future the hope is to design more BoltBots, each with a different bolt head, to make a family of toys.
